Jaco's parents and girlfriend arrived last night and he was finally able to see them. They have lots of time to talk and catch up.
The good news continues; Jaco has been able to sit up in bed, which is tiring for him, and he's been sleeping a lot as his body continues to recover from surgery and injuries.
He's been hopeful, cheerful, and able to joke about his situation, and continues to put his trust in God.
He will have some more x-rays on Monday to determine if another surgery will be necessary or if the bones will heal adequately on their own at this point.
Please pray for his time with his parents and girlfriend, for all the people directly involved as they continue to wait for news, for his continued healing and recovery, and that no more surgeries will be necessary!

Lord Jesus... we continue to lift Jaco up to you! We know that he has always been in Your hands, and that You know not only what has happened, but what is going to happen! Please help us to rest in the assurance that You are in control, and that we can trust You!
ReplyDeleteThank You that Jaco was able to get to Reno and that the surgery went well... please bless the doctors, nurses, physical therapists,... that have, will, and are working with him. Please give them supernatural insights into his needs. Please bring the resources needed.
Please comfort Jaco... body, mind, and spirit! Thank You for the prayers that are being lifted up on his behalf! Give him the strength and the drive to tackle what's ahead!
Thank You also for bringing Jaco's parents and girlfriend here safely! Please comfort them and provide financially for their needs. Please bring people along side them that know You and can be Your hands and feet for them while they're here.
Thank You that you are also with those who were with Jaco when this happened. Please hold them close and comfort them as well. Lord, we don't understand the "why" questions that we have, but we know You do... so help us to continue to trust You.
Please send Your peace which transcends all understanding to guard these hearts and minds in You. Thank You that You are there with each one... You know their thoughts, their needs, and that You are meeting them there! Please help us to continue to cling to You and proclaim You throughout this time! Please send Your Holy Spirit to minister to each one!
